Template:Politics of Lithuania The Social Democratic Party of Lithuania (Lithuanian: Lietuvos socialdemokratų partija) is the ruling political party in Lithuania, formed from the merger of the Democratic Labour Party of Lithuania and the Lithuanian Social-Democratic Party. It has 45 seats in the Diet of Lithuania, and is led by Algirdas Brazauskas.

Its candidate Česlovas Juršėnas won at the presidential elections on the 13th of June 2004 11.9 percent of the vote. At the last legislative elections on the tenth of October 2004, the party won 20 out of 141 seats.
