The circled dot, circumpunct, or circle with a point at its centre (☉) is a symbol featuring a circle with the middle marked with a dot.

It is an ancient symbol.

Can depict a stylized represenatation of an atom of hydrogen, the oldest, simplest and most abundant chemical element in the universe. (Fittingly, as hydrogen makes up most of the mass of Earth's sun, also represented by a circled dot.) As such, this symbol adorns the forehead of the fictional character Doctor Manhattan.
