Differential equations from outside physics

Most applications of differential equations occur in mathematical models in the physical sciences. However, some occur in biology, economics and other disciplines.

Biology

• Verhulst equation - biological population growth
• Volterra-Lotka equations - biological population dynamics
• Replicator dynamics - may be found in theoretical biology

Economics
