The Greeting Card Association is an international trade organization representing the interests of greeting card and stationery manufacturers.
The Association was formed in the United States in 1941, initially organized from a small group of greeting card publishers under the leadership of George Burkhardt of Burkhardt-Warner. The formation of the organization was a response to a War Department order during World War II to reduce paper use by 25%.
