Insula

Insula is the Latin word for "island". It has other meanings:

• A Roman building with several stories. The lowest floor was used for shops and the higher for residence (the higher, the cheaper).
• Ínsula Barataria, the governorship assigned to Sancho Panza as a prank in Don Quixote.
• The insular cortex.
