Color recovery

A technique used in HP's older workstation graphics cards to produce a 'near 24-bit' colour look from an 8-bit framebuffer. Color recovery does rely on software support which is provided by some of HP's graphics libraries. The technique is not perfect and can result in artifacts with certain images.
