The Football Writers' Association (FWA) is an association of English football journalists and correspondents writing for newspapers and agencies.

The FWA was founded in 1947. Current membership stands at around 400, with regional branches in the Midlands, North and North-East.

Every year the FWA presents the FWA Footballer of the Year, to the best player of the year, and the FWA Tribute Award to an individual who has made an outstanding contribution to the game.
