Nepean

Nepean is the name of:

• the Nepean River in New South Wales, Australia
• Nepean, a suburb in Ottawa, Canada (formerly an independent city)
• Nepean Highway southeast of Melbourne, Australia
• Nepean (electoral district) is a Canadian electoral district covering Nepean, and other parts of western Ottawa
• Point Nepean, Victoria, an outer suburb of Melbourne at the end of the highway

They were apparently named after Evan Nepean, a British politician in the late eighteenth century.
