The Hoytether is a trademarked name of Tethers Unlimited Incorporated for a novel topology for a space elevator cable, consisting of a lattice of strands, arranged in a circular cross-section with redundancy to handle potential damage from space debris and micrometeoroids.

A hoytether has similarities with the designs of Sir Barnes Wallis, a designer of World War II aircraft including the Vickers Wellington. The Vickers Wellington's fuselage has a lattice braced tube for redundant safety.
