Grom

Grom means "thunder" in several Slavic languages. From this, the following names are derived:

• Grom, an organization in the Russian FSB;

• GROM, a Polish special forces unit;

• ORP Grom, a Polish World War II destroyer, sister ship of ORP Błyskawica ("Lightning");

• Grom, a Polish anti-aircraft missile;

• Grom, a Yugoslav-built air-to-ground missile;

• Grom, an album by Behemoth, a Polish black metal band;

• Grom, a National Socialist black metal band.

Grom is also a slang term for a young surfer. Short for "Gromit". After Wallace and Gromit, the claymation series by British animator Nick Park.
