• Studies and Observations Group a secret American special force which conducted unconventional warfare operations prior to and during the Vietnam War.

• Special Operations Group is a synonym for a SWAT team.

• Sea of green, a method for growing cannabis.

• SOG Knife used by the U.S. Navy Seals

• Shot on goal, a statistic kept in ice hockey.

• Settlers of Ganareth, a massive multiplayer online game (Supposedly a "prelude" - but in beta, essentially). The final version will be Dark and Light
