• The Old Manse, a house famous for its American literary associations
• Mosses from an Old Manse, a short story collection by Nathaniel Hawthorne
• House, as in large stately home
• A house inhabited or formerly inhabited by a minister, usually used in the context of a Presbyterian, Methodist, or United Church. A contraction from "(the) man's house". Template:Seealso Rectory.
• "Manse" is also a popular nickname for the city of Tampere, Finland.
