Thomas Joseph "Joe" Shaw (born May 5, 1980) is an open source hacker and early employee of Ximian, which was bought by Novell in August, 2003.
Joe is currently a senior engineer at Novell. He and fellow open source hacker Robert Love are a commonly cited example of the success of pair programming. Joe received the Novell Employee of the Year honor in 2003.
He currently lives in Brookline, MA.
