Kvindesland is a Norwegian family name, derived from "Kvinnesland", an area of Tysvær, Rogaland, Norway. The name refers to the old norse term kvin, meaning strong wind. The Kvindesland family is counting somewhat less than 50 persons and is one of the more exclusive Norwegian family names.
