Image:8mmVideoTape.jpg The 8mm Backup Format is a backup system used in computer systems. Such systems can backup up to 40gb of data depending on configuration. The tapes used are very similar in size and appearance to the tapes used in 8mm video recorders and camcorders.
The usage of 8mm format as a data backup technology has been introducted by Exabyte Corporation
