Pierson is a village in Montcalm County of the U.S. state of Michigan. As of the 2000 census, the village had a total population of 185. The village is within Pierson Township.

Demographics
As of the census2 of 2000, there were 185 people, 62 households, and 46 families residing in the village. The population density was 285.7/km² (730.2/mi²). There were 73 housing units at an average density of 112.7/km² (288.1/mi²). The racial makeup of the village was 96.22% White, 0.00% African American, 1.62% Native American, 0.00% Asian, 0.00% Pacific Islander, 0.54% from other races, and 1.62% from two or more races. 2.16% of the population were Hispanic or Latino of any race.
There were 62 households out of which 41.9% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 59.7% were married couples living together, 6.5% had a female householder with no husband present, and 24.2% were non-families. 16.1% of all households were made up of individuals and 9.7% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 2.98 and the average family size was 3.38.
In the village the population was spread out with 31.4% under the age of 18, 14.1% from 18 to 24, 32.4% from 25 to 44, 15.1% from 45 to 64, and 7.0% who were 65 years of age or older. The median age was 27 years. For every 100 females there were 103.3 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 108.2 males.
The median income for a household in the village was $37,500, and the median income for a family was $39,000. Males had a median income of $29,063 versus $17,500 for females. The per capita income for the village was $10,456. 11.8% of the population and 8.7% of families were below the poverty line. 10.5% of those under the age of 18 and 12.5% of those 65 and older were living below the poverty line.
