Arlington is a city located in Sibley County, Minnesota. As of the 2000 census, the city had a total population of 2,048.

Demographics
As of the census2 of 2000, there were 2,048 people, 828 households, and 523 families residing in the city. The population density was 537.9/km² (1,395.1/mi²). There were 859 housing units at an average density of 225.6/km² (585.2/mi²). The racial makeup of the city was 95.02% White, 0.24% African American, 0.00% Native American, 0.39% Asian, 0.00% Pacific Islander, 3.91% from other races, and 0.44% from two or more races. 6.05% of the population were Hispanic or Latino of any race.
There were 828 households out of which 31.4% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 51.8% were married couples living together, 7.9% had a female householder with no husband present, and 36.8% were non-families. 33.3% of all households were made up of individuals and 19.1% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 2.39 and the average family size was 3.06.
In the city the population was spread out with 26.6% under the age of 18, 8.4% from 18 to 24, 27.1% from 25 to 44, 18.4% from 45 to 64, and 19.5% who were 65 years of age or older. The median age was 36 years. For every 100 females there were 88.8 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 81.3 males.
The median income for a household in the city was $37,632, and the median income for a family was $49,231. Males had a median income of $31,603 versus $20,888 for females. The per capita income for the city was $18,458. 7.5% of the population and 3.7% of families were below the poverty line. 5.0% of those under the age of 18 and 10.1% of those 65 and older were living below the poverty line.
