Although marketed as "Absinthe refined" it contains no Absinth Wormwood (Artemisia absinthium) but instead uses southern wormwood (Artemisia abrotanum) and is thus closer to pastis and not absinthe. Southern wormwood's constituents are different from grande wormwood and it contains no thujone which allows it to be sold in the U.S.
