Image:Amagi.png The Ama-gi is an ancient Sumerian cuneiform word meaning "freedom". It is believed to be the first instance of humans writing that concept down.
The Ama-gi symbol has been adopted for limited use by anarcho-capitalists, as well as by the Libertarian Libertatis Æquilibritas group. The termly journal of the Hayek Society at the London School of Economics, the largest libertarian student group in England, is titled ama-gi [1] and it is used as a logo by the Institutio Politico para la Liberdad, of Peru.
A version of the symbol is used as a trademarked logo by the publishing firm Liberty Fund, Inc.
