Angular acceleration

From Free net encyclopedia

Angular acceleration is the rate of change of angular velocity over time. In SI units, it is measured in radians per second squared (rad/s²), and usually denotes by the Greek letter alpha (<math>{\alpha}\,</math>). For constant values of angular acceleration, a rotating body conforms to the rotational equations of motion.

Additionally: <math>{\alpha}\,</math> = T / I. Where T is torque and I is moment of interia.
