Antonio Segni

Template:Infobox President Antonio Segni (February 2, 1891, Sassari - December 1, 1972) was twice Prime Minister of Italy (1955-1957, and again 1959-1960). Subsequently he was elected President of the Italian Republic on May 6, 1962 (443 votes over 854), and retired from office on December 6, 1964 after serious paralysis.

Father of Mariotto, better know as Mario, he was accused during his presidential term of having tried to organize a coup d'état along with General De Lorenzo.
