Antonov An-32

General characteristics

The An - 32 is basically a re-engined An - 26. The An - 32 is brought in to withstand adverse weather conditions better than the standard An - 26.

The An-32 is still operated by some air forces. At present more than 240 of the An-32 aircraft are being operated in the countries around the world, including CIS, Afghanistan, Armenia, Bangladesh, Colombia, Croatia, Cuba, India, Mexico, Mongolia, Peru, Sri Lanka, Ukraine, and several African countries like Angola, Equatorial Guinea, Ethiopia, Tanzania. The Indian Air Force alone operates 112 An-32 aircraft. Most of these nations have adverse weather conditions which stands as indication to the durability of the An-32.
