Assendelft (Template:Coor dm) is a town in the Dutch province of North Holland. It is a part of the municipality of Zaanstad, and lies about 13 km northeast of Haarlem.

The statistical district "Assendelft", which covers the village and the surrounding countryside, has a population of around 13,720.<ref name="CBS2">Statistics Netherlands (CBS), Statline: Kerncijfers wijken en buurten 2003-2005 [1]. As of January 1, 2005.</ref>
