Bésame Mucho
From Free net encyclopedia
Template:Cleanup-date "Bésame Mucho", which translates to "Kiss Me a Lot" in English, is a Mexican song written in 1940 by Consuelo Velazquez before her sixteenth birthday. According to Velazquez herself, she was inspired by an aria from an Italian opera by Enrique Granados.
This song rapidly became one of the most popular songs of the 20th century. Emilio Tuero was the first to record the song. It has since been performed by several artists including The Beatles who had Paul McCartney singing it in one of their early recordings, and Kitty Kallen. It is a truly sultry and sensuous song.

This composition has also been used for soundtrack for movies such as A toda máquina, The moon over parador, Sueños de Arizona, Arizona Dream and Moscow Does Not Believe In Tears.
