Babidi is a fictional character in the manga/anime series Dragon Ball/Dragon Ball Z. He is the son of an evil sorcerer from whom he has learned many magic spells. Babidi is one of the villains in the Dragon ball Z series.

Biography

As the son of wizard Template:DB:LDBc, Babidi learned many special magic spells. These include mind control, which makes someone turn Majin (like his henchmen, and later Vegeta), and creating a force field that shields him from strong assaults (which he used when fighting Piccolo). His henchmen included the demon king, Dabura, a Frieza-like character named Template:DB:LDBc, and a light-absorbing alien, Template:DB:LDBc. Babidi releases Boo (Buu) from the ball that he was confined to, intending to use Buu's evil power to dominate the Earth and perhaps beyond. Babidi is eventually decapitated by Buu, when Buu gets sick of taking commands from the wizard.

Babidi's name, along with those of his father and his creation, are a play on the song "Bibbidi-Bobbidi-Boo" from the Disney movie Cinderella.

Special abilities

Ayatsuri no Majyutsu:</br> A spell that Dabura can cast over any character to try to take over their mind. This spell is known to work only if the posessee does not have a pure heart.

Paparapa:</br> A magic word Babidi uses to perform such tasks as teleportation.

Magic Barrier:</br> A magic spell that summon a barrier of energy.

Haretsu Majyutsu:</br> A spell that can explode the body of anyone Babidi has control over. See Ayatsuri no Majyutsu above.
