Image:Behringer-LOGO.jpg BEHRINGER Spezielle Studiotechnik GmbH (Behringer) is a German company, founded in its present form in 1989, that manufactures and sells audio equipment. The company began outsourcing manufacturing to China before it was common among other manufacturers in this field. By doing this and using low-cost components, the company has managed to be a major player in the low cost segment of such equipment. Behringer has been able to provide products at a low cost in comparison to their competitors.

Behringer designs and manufactures a line of audio products for musicians and sound engineers. Their products include mixing consoles, analog and digital signal processors, guitar amplifiers, studio reference monitors, digital pianos, microphones, MIDI controllers, power amplifiers, and public address enclosures. More recently they have added a line of guitars and bass guitar amplifiers.

Although they are considered good, solid equipment for beginners, these products are considered by most serious musicians and audio professionals to be of sub-par sound quality. However, many of their products are widely used in professional audio, particularly their equalizers, crossovers and digital signal processors.
