Bharata

Bharata is the one the official names of India, of two different persons in Hinduism and Hindu mythology, as well as a of great Hindu scholar.
- Emperor Bharata is the first man to conquer all of the known world, which is named Bharatavarsha in his honor. His conquess covered modern India, Nepal, Bangladesh, Pakistan and major parts of Afghanistan. He is theorized to have been the son of Dushyanta and Shakuntala, or Lord Rishabha.
- Bharata (Ramayana) is the son of Kaikeyi and Dasaratha, and the youngest brother of Lord Rama. He rules Ayodhya while Rama is in exile.
- Bharata Muni was the author of the Natyashastra, the most important work on the dramatic theory in the ancient Indian language of Sanskrit.
- In Bhagavata purana, Bharata (Bhagavata) was the eldest of a hundred sons of a saintly king by name Rishabha Deva, who ruled over the earth.
