The English word butt means:
- a cask of wine of about 477 litres
- the buttocks in U.S. slang, also known as rear-end, bottom, ass, etc.
- End in general, as in the end of a cigarette or the stock of a firearm
- a person mocked or embarrassed by a joke: the butt of a joke
- a pork shoulder in butchery; people sometimes say Boston butt or simply pork butt
- a target for practicing archery; see Butt (archery)
- a blow administered with the head, also headbutt
- a Pakistani tribe; see Butt
