C't
From Free net encyclopedia
c't (short for Computertechnik, originally for computing today) is a German biweekly computer magazine, published by the Heise Verlag publishing house. An edition for the Netherlands also exists, which is published monthly. The first issue was published in December 1983.
The magazine's sold circulation was about 385,000 in the second quarter of 2002.
c't covers both hardware and software; it focuses on software for the Microsoft Windows platform, but Linux and Apple Computer are also regularly featured. The magazine has a reputation of being very thorough, although some critics claim that the magazine has been "dumbed down" in recent years to accommodate the mass market.
A sister magazine, iX, focuses primarily on UNIX-related issues.
