Carleton is a village located in Thayer County, Nebraska. As of the 2000 census, the village had a total population of 136.

According to the United States Census Bureau, the village has a total area of 1.3 km² (0.5 mi²). 1.3 km² (0.5 mi²) of it is land and none of it is covered by water.
Demographics
