The word caustics, meaning "to burn" or "burning", may refer to:

  • Caustic (substance), a substance that 'eats away' or chemically burns other materials by process of attacking it basically or acidically
  • Caustic (optics), a bundle of light rays
  • Caustic, in differential geometry, the envelope of rays either reflected or refracted by a manifold. It is related to the optical concept of caustics
  • Sodium hydroxide, sometimes called caustic soda
  • Caustic (band), a rock band based in the Highlands of Scotland.
