A chaser can be:

  • In the form bow chaser or stern chaser, naval cannons pointing forward or aft and used in ship chases.
  • A ship which chases another
  • A small, light, usually single-seated aeroplane of great speed and climbing power, used in repelling hostile aircraft

Slang

  • Someone who is not a bear, cub, or otter (slim, hairy gay man), but is sexually or romantically attracted to them.
  • One who chases women, a woman-chaser
  • (1990s) A frequent user of crack-cocaine
  • A prison guard
  • A usually non-alcoholic drink consumed immediately after drinking a potent liquor, to dull the harsh taste of alcohol.
