China compulsory certification
From Free net encyclopedia
China Compulsory Certification, symbolized by the CCC mark, indicates that a product has met the requirements of the Compulsory Product Certification System, China's recently established safety approval process for product testing, evaluation and marking.
Prior to May 2002, the products approved for use in China were designated with the CCIB Mark for Import Commodities and the CCEE Mark, also called the Great Wall Mark.
Covered by the new Compulsory Product Certification System are 132 types of products in 19 categories. The process requires product testing to applicable IEC standards and the equivalent Chinese (GB) standards.
