Coalescence may refer to:
- In genetics, the merging of lineages in backwards time. See coalescence (genetics).
- In physics, engineering, meteorology and climatology, the process by which two or more droplets or particles merge during contact to form a single daughter droplet (or bubble). See coalescence (meteorology).
- In linguistics, the process by which two or more words merge into a single one. See coalescence (linguistics)
