Coin is a city located in Page County, Iowa. As of the 2000 census, the city had a total population of 252. The Wabash Trace--a railroad converted to a bicycle trail--passes through here.

According to the United States Census Bureau, the city has a total area of 2.1 km² (0.8 mi²). 2.1 km² (0.8 mi²) of it is land and none of it is covered by water.
Demographics
As of the censusTemplate:GR of 2000, there were 252 people, 102 households, and 68 families residing in the city. The population density was 121.6/km² (314.4/mi²). There were 118 housing units at an average density of 57.0/km² (147.2/mi²). The racial makeup of the city was 99.60% White, 0.00% African American, 0.00% Native American, 0.00% Asian, 0.00% Pacific Islander, 0.00% from other races, and 0.40% from two or more races. 0.79% of the population were Hispanic or Latino of any race.
There were 102 households out of which 35.3% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 53.9% were married couples living together, 8.8% had a female householder with no husband present, and 32.4% were non-families. 31.4% of all households were made up of individuals and 15.7% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 2.47 and the average family size was 3.03.
Population spread: 26.6% under the age of 18, 7.5% from 18 to 24, 24.6% from 25 to 44, 22.6% from 45 to 64, and 18.7% who were 65 years of age or older. The median age was 39 years. For every 100 females there were 92.4 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 98.9 males.
The median income for a household in the city was $33,500, and the median income for a family was $45,313. Males had a median income of $30,250 versus $24,500 for females.
