Personality

Image:Sonicchannel cream.png Cream is a princess-like figure; she is polite, follows manners (and never forgets them) and does what she is told. She’s very friendly and tries to be close to everyone she meets. She is brave as well, usually not afraid to go out on an adventure. She’s a bit naïve however, and doesn’t always see things right away, since she’s still very young.

Cream enjoys spending most of her time outdoors. There, she likes to play with her friends, usually any activity they want, or she collects flowers, which she finds pretty and joyful. She loves adventures and exploring. Indoors, she enjoys watching TV and probably any games she can find. Her favorite food is ice cream.

She doesn't like any form of violence or fighting, and only fights to protect the people she cares about. Like most of the characters in the Sonic series, she doesn't like Eggman much either.

Game Appearances

The first game Cream appeared in was Sonic Advance 2, where she is an unlockable character. She is kidnapped by Doctor Eggman and Sonic must rescue her before she can become playable. Just before the final level, her mother is kidnapped by Eggman, who is eventually rescued in the end by Super Sonic after he destroys the final boss.

Image:SR Cream.jpg Cream is seen as a cameo in Sonic Adventure DX: Director's Cut for the Nintendo Gamecube after playing the Casinopolis level. She is flying through the sky, apparently dropping the ice key that appears at that point in the game. This isn't her only cameo in the game, but it's her best-known one.

She is part of Team Rose, acting as their flight member for beginner gameplay in Sonic Heroes, a multi-platform release featuring 12 characters in 4 sets to play. The trio are on a quest to find Cheese's sibling, Chocola, a brown Chao (as well as Big the Cat's friend, Froggy). In the game, she can only use Cheese to attack when the other two team members are incapacitated or otherwise not present. Her Chao attack is a means of self-defense, although the attack isn't very effective if she doesn't have 2 to 3 Power Cores.

Cream has also appeared in Sonic Battle, Sonic Advance 3, Sonic Rush, and the television series Sonic X, and is in the process of possibly becoming part of the Archie Sonic comic's cast as her appearance has been approved by the editor.

She and Cheese both need to be rescued by Shadow the Hedgehog and Amy Rose in the game Shadow the Hedgehog during the level Cryptic Castle, which is her only appearance in the entire game (besides her voice being heard in the levels The ARK and Cosmic Fall in Expert Mode). Whether or not she is rescued, though, is up to Shadow and the player.

Cream also makes an appearance in Sonic Riders. In this game she, like Amy, wears a different outfit (pictured above).

Sonic Rush

Cream's role in this game was surprisingly big. Blaze ended up lost in Sonic's world without her sol emeralds or anything, not knowing where anything was. Cream was hiding in a bush and snuck up on Blaze, Blaze had no idea what to say when she asked her name. Cream asked Blaze to go to her house, which they did. There, they met Vanilla, and talked. Blaze didn't seem to like Cream, Cream annoys her because she's so carefree and Blaze is strict and careful. Cream decided to help Blaze by leading her around, and that's how it happened. Later on they met Knuckles, Knuckles thought that Blaze had something to do with the chaos emeralds being stolen, Blaze was very offended and knocked Knuckles out under a pile of rocks, she then walked away almost leaving poor Cream behind. They ran into Amy, Cream told Amy that she was looking for Sonic so that he could help Blaze, Amy quickly agreed to help them find Sonic. Cream was happy and just knew that they would find Sonic since Amy had "Sonic Radar". Later on, Sonic and Tails found Cream and Blaze, Tails told Cream to get away from her, but Cream just asked why, after a little argument Blaze and Cream escaped.

Image:Blaze and Cream Map zone.PNG Later on they met up with Amy again, Cream wanted to find Sonic again but Blaze refused to ask for his help, Amy told Blaze that being so independent isn't always a good thing and explained to her why it's not bad to open up and trust your friends, then Knuckles interrupted, he challenged Blaze to another fight but she didn't want to waste time fighting when she could be finding her sol emeralds, eventually Amy distracted Knuckles while Cream flew off with Blaze, after reaching a safe place, Blaze thanked her. Cream was shocked that Blaze actually thanked her since she is usually so quiet and a little scary. Blaze and Cream ran into Sonic and Tails again, Blaze and Sonic fought each other, but after they stopped they were too distracted to notice that Cream was missing. Tails found a note from Eggman stating that he has kidnapped Cream. Blaze got angry and went off to save her, Sonic offered to help but Blaze turned him down, she had to save Cream by herself. Blaze eventually defeated Eggman and got all of her Sol Emeralds, but couldn't find Cream, Cream fell down from the sky and hugged her, thanking her for saving her and Cheese. Blaze was a little nervous but she eventually tried to tell Cream that they were friends but couldn't get the words out, Cream said that they were friends and Blaze agreed.

After that, Blaze runs into Eggman and Eggman-Nega and is taken out for a bit, Sonic comes but a bit too late and he asked Blaze if she was okay. Cream, Tails, Amy, and Knuckles showed up, Sonic told her about the emeralds and the powers they can give you once you get that warm feeling of friendship and love. Sonic transformed into Super Sonic and Blaze transformed into Super Blaze and together, they defeated the 2 Eggmans. Having all of the sol emeralds, Blaze's mission was complete and she had to go back to her own world, leaving poor Cream behind. When Cream finds out, she starts crying and Cheese is trying to comfort her, but then Sonic shows up, he whispered something into her ear and Cream became very happy, Sonic and Cream looked up into the sky. (Perhaps he told her that Blaze would return?)

But in result, Cream actually had a big hand in helping save the world and taught a lesson about friendship and trust.

Sonic X

Cream also has a starring role on the Sonic anime, Sonic X. Though she isn't as active as many other characters, she presents her own talents to it. Her first appearance is in episode 1, where Sonic tries to save her from Dr. Eggman's base, right before the Chaos Control that tossed Sonic and his friends to another world. She supports Sonic on his adventures for the Chaos Emeralds throughout the first season. Her most known role is her victory over Emerl during the second season, as she was forced to fight him for the first time on Sonic X.

In the newer third season she travels with her friends into space to help Cosmo stop the Metarex.

Abilities

Cream can achieve flight by flapping her two rather large ears. Although she can't fly as high or for as long as her friend Tails can, she can fly a greater horizontal distance and can move faster in mid-flight. She is super fast, like many other Sonic characters, but is not as fast as Sonic or Shadow. Whilst able to mimic Sonic's basic spin-attack and spin dash, she largely attacks by having her Chao, Cheese, ram her adversaries. She also has good homemaking skills, most likely because of her mother.

Cheese the Chao

Image:Cheesechao.png Cheese the Chao is a blue, neutral baby Chao, sibling of Chocola the Chao and friend of Cream the Rabbit. Cheese wears a red bow tie. A couple of times in Sonic X, the other characters referred to Cheese as "she", but in Sonic Heroes and Shadow the Hedgehog, Cheese is identified as male. This is most likely a moot point (as the A-life Chao in Sonic Adventure and Sonic Adventure 2 were asexual).

Cheese's first appearance was in Sonic Advance 2 for the Game Boy Advance handheld console. In the game, Cheese is accompanied by Cream the Rabbit and is a method of attack: Cream points to an enemy, and Cheese charges forward and destroys or damages the enemy on contact. Cheese makes another appearance in the game Sonic Heroes, in which Cheese follows Cream and helps her look for Cheese's sibling, Chocola. However, though Chocola is rescued before the events during the Metal Madness Boss Battle, the chao does not appear. If Cream's teammates were incapacitated somehow, Cream could use the attack button to command Cheese to perform a crowd control area attack. Cheese also appears in Sonic Advance 3, and as usual, follows Cream. Cheese is also able to shapeshift into a Chao version of Sonic, Tails, Knuckles, or Amy. Cheese follows the command of whomever it turned into.

Cheese the Chao is also in the newest television cartoon series, Sonic X, although it is considerably larger than its video game self.

Vanilla the Rabbit

Image:Vanilla3.PNG Vanilla the Rabbit is introduced as Cream the Rabbit's mother in Sonic Advance 2 and Sonic X. At the end of Sonic Advance 2, Dr. Eggman kidnaps Vanilla. Fortunately, she is rescued in the end by Super Sonic.

Vanilla also makes a short appearance in the ending of Sonic Advance 3 after the player defeats G-mel (also known as Gemerl) with Super Sonic. She and Cream find the defeated G-Mel laying on the beach. Seeing this, they decide to take the robot to Miles Prower for repair. It now lives peacefully with Vanilla and Cream.

Vanilla also appears in the game, Sonic Rush.

In Sonic X, Vanilla was separated from her daughter when Cream was kidnapped by Doctor Eggman and sent to Chris' world via Chaos Control. Eventually, she gets sent to Chris' world by Chaos Control herself. Vanilla asks the Chaotix to help find Cream (whom the Chaotix mistakenly think has been kidnapped by Sonic). While the Chaotix team investigates, Vanilla comes across Sonic, who then takes her to see Cream at the Thorndyke house. The staff at the mansion meets Vanilla for the first time, and Cream is happy to see her mom. Cream stays with her mom throughout the new episodes, helping her with meals as she did with Ella and Amy at the mansion. Later in the series, it is suggested that Vector the Crocodile has some kind of hidden love for Vanilla.

She is unnamed in the games, referred to only as "Ma'am" by other characters. So far, only Sonic X has indentified her by the name "Vanilla."
