Cxbx
From Free net encyclopedia
Cxbx is a Xbox emulator for Microsoft Windows developed by a group of programmers lead by a hacker named caustik and written in the [[C++]] programming language. It is open source software and may someday be ported to other operating systems. Cxbx appears to be inactive and hasn't been updated since sometime in 2004 due in part, to the fact that Caustik has been tied up by a full time job working at DivX, Inc.. Currently Cxbx does not run any games but Turok: Evolution and assorted demos, however, there is no better Xbox emulator available on the net.
Caustik has not updated the project for a while and has not active in the Xbox scene for some time. Rumors speculate that Microsoft bought out Caustik and forced him to quit updating the project.
