Deal Castle

Deal Castle was built by Henry VIII, between 1539 and 1540, and is one of the most impressive of the Device Forts. It has 6 low half-round bastions surrounding 6 higher towers that in turn surround a barracks keep. Now owned by English Heritage. It is located in Deal, Kent, England, between Walmer Castle and the remains of Sandown Castle.
