Delay

Delay may refer to:
- In sound effects, any effects unit that adds one or more time delayed versions of the original signal, to create effects such as echo or flanger.
- Reflection of a second distinct sound echo.
- In telecommunications, either:
- In radar, the electronic delay of the start of the time base used to select a particular segment of the total.
- The amount of time by which an event is retarded.
- The time between the instant at which a given event occurs and the instant at which a related aspect of that event occurs.
- In broadcasting, the delay between recording and broadcasting.
- In English law, it is an offence dishonestly to delay the payment of a debt under the Theft Act 1978.
