Delta Pavonis

It is in constellation Pavo. It is a main sequence star of spectral type G5. This star appears bright for its spectral class, which may be an indication it may be evolving into a sub-giant. It has been identified by Maggie Turnbull and Jill Tarter of the SETI Institute as the "Best SETI target" in a survey of nearby stars. Delta Pavonis is the nearest sun-like star not a member of a binary or multiple star system.
