Digital sum

There are four common mathematical meanings of the term digital sum:

1. In some number base, add the digits of a number together. (see digit sum)
2. In some number base, add the digits of a number together, and discard any carry.
3. In some number base, add some numbers together discarding any digit-to-digit carry. (see digital sum in base b)
4. In some number base, repeatedly add the digits of a number together, until it becomes a one-digit number. (see repeated digital sum or digital root)
