Disarmed Enemy Forces

Disarmed Enemy Forces is a designation for captive enemy soldiers. Most referenced by Dwight D. Eisenhower's redesignation of POW's in post WWII occupied Germany. The purpose of the designation is to circumvent the Geneva Convention, Relative to the treatment of prisoners of war.
