Dominic is usually a male human name. It comes from the Late Latin name Dominicus, meaning "of the Lord". This name was traditionally given to a child born on Sunday. Other spellings of the name around the world are: Dominik, Dominick, and Dominique although the last is often used to spell the female version of the name.
