Doug Howlett

Douglas Charles Howlett (born September 21, 1978 in Auckland) is a New Zealand rugby union footballer who has been a major force in New Zealand and world rugby since he debuted in 2000.
Howlett started playing rugby while at the Auckland Grammar School, where he was also a star sprinter and head prefect. He calls upon his speed as a sprinter to great effect in his rugby career.
He debuted in the Super 12 at age 18, becoming the youngest player in the league. He plays for the Blues in the Super 14 and for Auckland in the National Provincial Championship.
On the international scene, he debuted for the All Blacks on June 16, 2000. Since then, he has scored on average 4 points per game (155 from his first 38). He was also a first choice winger in the 2003 World Cup.
He is 1.85 m tall and weighs about 92 kg.
