EUREKA 147
From Free net encyclopedia
Eureka 147 is a protocol for digital radio broadcasting originally developed in Europe, but now being deployed in many countries around the world.
It is more commonly known as Digital Audio Broadcast (DAB), although this can also apply to other methods such as IBOC and IBAC. Eureka 147 is operated in band III 174 to 240 MHz and in the L band, from 1452 to 1492 MHz, but can also operate in UHF bands in some countries. Several radio stations share a single radio signal by multiplexing their digital audio bitstreams together, being later decoded at the receiver.
