The title Earl Beauchamp (pronounced "Beecham") was created in the Peerage of the United Kingdom in 1815 for William Lygon, 1st Baron Beauchamp (the family surname is pronounced "Liggon"), along with the subsidiary title Viscount Elmley, in the County of Worcester. The 1st Earl had been created Baron Beauchamp, of Powyk in the County of Worcester, in 1806. All three peerages became extinct upon the death of the 8th Earl in 1979.
