Exene Cervenka

Image:X-Beyond and Back: The X Anthology.jpg Exene Cervenka (born Christine Cervenka on February 1, 1956 in Chicago), is best known as vocalist and original member of punk rock band X. She has also performed and recorded solo work doing spoken word.
Over the years she has also been known as Christene Cervenka, Exene Cervenkova, and Christene Edge (her married name). As of 2004, she lives in Los Angeles performing with X and her new band Original Sinners. She also works as a teacher and librarian.
She and her ex-husband, Viggo Mortensen, have a son Henry. According to Mortensen, Henry is also known as rock guitarist Buckethead. However, his assertion is questionable, since Mortensen also states that his son was 18 years old in 2006--a difficult concept to ponder considering Buckethead's previous 4 year membership with rock band Guns n' Roses and various other musical outlets--and other sources state that Buckethead's real name is Brian Carroll. Also, Buckethead released his first demo tape ("Giant Robot") in 1991, when Henry was only 3 or 4 years old.
Currently plays with the band The Original Sinners on Nitro Records.
