Fecula

A Fecula is a flavourless starchy ingredient, amylaceous and pulverised, extracted from vegetables like tubers, rhizomes, seeds used for cooking as a food thickener.
The word comes the latin faecula, diminutive of faex (meaning dregs).

- Sago, made from the pith of various cycads, particularly Cycas revoluta.
