Template:Infobox England place with map Image:Filey beach.JPG Filey is a small town in North Yorkshire in the borough of Scarborough, between Scarborough town and Bridlington. Although it started out as a fishing village, it has a large beach and is a popular tourist resort, known locally for its quality fish and chip outlets.

Filey has a railway station on the line between Hull and Scarborough. From 1947 to 1977 there was a second railway station south of the town, serving Filey Holiday Camp.

The town has recently had a boom of house buyers due to a Persimmon estate being built in the area of Seadale. It was predicted to add 200 to the population.

Filey is often used as a filming location for children TV show Chucklevision. Also it has been used to film a motorbike accident in The Royal.
