Firm can have several meanings:

• A partnership, limited liability partnership, company or corporation.
  • Architectural firm
  • Law firm

• An economic term, used to describe a collection of individuals grouped together for economic gain. Popularised in Ronald Coase's The Nature of the Firm (1937).

• A British English slang phrase for a criminal gang or a football hooligan gang
